The first one on this list is The Lost Valentine, the story of an old woman who lost her husband in World War 2. This is the mystery that a journalist wants to uncover and so, she meets the old woman and helps her to find what happened to her lost husband.
Along this journey of solving the mystery, she seems to find love as well, when she falls for the old woman’s grandson. This movie has been adapted from a novel, written by James Michael Pratt, and is of the same name. The movie is very heartwarming and is bound to make you shed a few tears. If not because of the movie, maybe because of the fact that the old woman is played by Betty White. Whether you watch any other Hallmark movie or not, this one is a must-watch!
Love Locks
Paris is the city of love! Everyone knows that, obviously, but in this movie, it is also the city of reunions. Lindsey Wilson, who is a successful businesswoman and the protagonist of this film, travels to Paris with her daughter. The reason for her travel was to enroll her daughter in an art school, with the same teacher she has when she was young.
To her surprise, she gets reacquainted with her first love, who is a hotelier. It has been 20 years since she was last in Paris. What more surprises await her? This movie is the perfect film for you if you are a sucker for first loves, Paris, and traveling!
A Country Wedding
This is one of Hallmark’s best films and rightfully so! The story follows a country singer, who seems to be happy with everything in his life. He has a successful career and is about to marry Catherine, a famous actress, but before that, he decides to go back to his hometown to sell his childhood home.
While he is in his hometown, he rekindles his relationship with his childhood sweetheart, Sarah. Sarah is a cowgirl, and she owns a small ranch. She inspires him to write songs again and shows him the little joys of life as they both fall in love once again. Aside from the wonderful story, you get to see a picturesque landscape, which is why we recommend this movie!
A Royal Christmas
Don’t we all love a story like Cinderella? A prince sweeps the girl off her feet and they ride off into the sunset! No doubt, it is an overused plot, but it is still a good one if executed properly. Hallmark has done a great job in doing exactly that.
Emily Taylor, a seamstress in her father’s tailoring shop, comes to learn that her boyfriend is actually a prince. And he happens to be the prince of Cordinia. After traveling with him to his home country, she meets his family and his mother, Queen Isadora. Unlike Prince Leopold, her boyfriend, the queen is not the least bit happy about her. So, she does what she deems best. She tries to drive the two apart! Like we said before, a typical plot, but nicely carried out.
All of My Heart
If you believe in the opposites attract theory, you’ll love this one! Jenny, a young caterer, discovers that she has inherited half a country home, and of course, is very thrilled to hear that. To start a new life, she decides to move in there but discovers that she has to share the home with a Wall-street trader, who just so happens to have a completely opposite idea of renovation for the home.
Amidst fights and quarrels, the pair grows closer and learns to compromise and live with each other. This gives way to attraction and eventually love.
Autumn Dreams
The story is about a spontaneous young couple in love who decide to elope and fulfill their dreams of moving to the city together to start their new life. However, their parents are not happy with this, and their plans are quickly flushed down the drain when they have to divorce. Fifteen years pass and both of them live in different cities and are engaged with different people.
They soon learn that the divorce, years before, had never gone through, due to some missing documents, signatures, etc. They have to come together once again to solve this problem and go through with the divorce to continue on with their lives. However, their feelings resurface and they are thrown into confusion about the future. Will they rekindle their relationship or will they go through with the divorce? You’ll have to watch to find out!
